& Getting There

Hanoi is located at
the centre of the Northern Delta with a population of 3 million
people, in an area covering 927 sq km.
Visitors may fly into the Noi Bai International Airport, which
was recently upgraded to become one of the country's top terminals.

People

Vietnamese
in general are warm and determined people. They are hardworking
in a seemingly effortless way, all in part due to the relaxed
environment they relish. A vast majority of the people is
Vietnamese, with a small number of Chinese, Khmer, Thai, Muong,
Meo, Cham and other ethnic groups.
Vietnamese (kinh) is the official language of the country.
The other widely spoken foreign languages in Vietnam are Cantonese
and Mandarin, French, English and Russian.

Flights

Visitors may fly into the Noi Bai International Airport. Principle
embarkation point to Hanoi is Bangkok; nevertheless there
are plenty of airlines to choose from including: Vietnam
Airlines, Pacific Airlines (Vietnam), British Airways, Japan
Airlines, Cathay Pacific Airways, Air France, Lufthansa German
Airlines, Thai Airway, Singapore Airlines, etc.

Weather

There is never a bad time to visit Hanoi. Hanoi, which is
located in the northern region of Vietnam generally experiences
two seasons - cool, winters (November to April) and wonderful
warm summers (May to October). Any well-travelled businessperson
will know that rain showers and occasional thunderstorms are
expected in any equatorial country.
